Dogs left behind at the gathering

A friend of mine contacted the Humane Society of Beaverhead County yesterday and so far they have thirteen dogs which they attribute to having been left behind by gathering participants.  Hopefully that's all they end up with.  I spoke to a couple of ranchers in the area and they will probably be shooting any dogs them come across.  At any rate,  if you would like to inquire about a lost dog, adopt a dog, or make a tax deductible donation to help care for the dogs that have ended up in Dillon, here's the contact information.

Humane Society of Beaverhead County

  1. Nothing sadder and more disgraceful than bringing an animal that loves and trusts you and leaving it behind to fend for itself. Humans may have he mental ability to "get by" living a hand to mouth existence, but you do it by CHOICE. Your pet does not. Much like a child, it depends on you.

Chances are the dog YOU dumped will end up euthanized at TAXPAYER expense because you to too stupid, too high, too irresponsible to take it with you when you left.

I'm in animal rescue people, if you want to live like nomadic hippies, cool, but do us a favor and don't involve dogs...

  2. I'm still looking for my puppy which was stolen by rainbow people. You better pray I don't find them...

    1. Seems odd to assume it's been stolen. Perhaps someone found it and want's to return it but doesn't know who its person is. Perhaps if you posted a description, you would be reunited.
